This show was also a special 10th anniversary of Bay Area rock radio station KSJO and Sammy's set included special guests Neal Schon, Eddie Money, and Jimmy Lyons.

Sammy made his first TV appearance on Burt Sugarman’s “The Midnight Special” TV show with his band Denny Carmassi (drums), Bill “Electric” Church (bass), Gary Pihl (guitar) and Alan “Fitz” Fitzgerald (keys). The show was filmed at NBC studios in Burbank, CA and also featured Air Supply, David Bowie, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Billy Preston, and England Dan & John Ford Coley, hosted by The O’Jays.
