Aaron Hager is our man on the scene in Cabo for this year's Birthday Bash and he filed this report last night. Check out his update from the Cantina last night and exclusive video of "Mine All Mine" from Night 1 of the bash!

Wednesday night kicked the bash off to a great start but even though the next show isn't until tonight, Thursday it was still hopping down at the Cantina! 

A ripping rendition of the Van Hagar classic "Mine All Mine" by Sammy & The Circle is just one of a whole batch of new tunes The Circle will be unleashing at this year's bash! This one from night one – 10/7/15! It's the first time it's been played since 1988!

Woke up this morning & saw that my book was number one on Amazon for Latin cookbooks and for Party Cooking!!! It’s also #6 on the rock chart and everyone’s leaving great reviews! Thanks for the support – keep posting your positive reviews, it really helps!

It’s such a surprise for me- what a birthday present! I’m enjoying the bash like never before and then add this to it!!! I feel like I died and went to Cabo ha ha

As night 1 of the birthday bash gets underway, Aaron is on the scene! More reports to come tomorrow, and maybe even a little music, too!

Today, the crew set up for the bands arrival, the stage erupted with the occasional crashes, pops and chords from heavily amplified instruments. The Cabo Wabo buzzed for several hours, igniting interest and excitement in anticipation of the bands arrival. And then, as the band members arrived one by one, fans peered in between the cracks to try and get a glimpse who was attending the stage.

A moment after 4pm the stage came alive with the pounding drums of Jason Bonham, the mega Bass of Mike Anthony, the articulate guitar of Vic Johnson and of course the unmatched sound of Dad's voice! The fans were hand over foot to see and hear every morsel of musical goodness coming from behind the now closed doors of the main stage of the Cabo Wabo.  The patio was alive and kicking with Margaritas and awesome street food from the Cabo Wabo kitchen.

All one's senses were desperately attempting to acclimate to this Mexican delight. It is after all what we have all been waiting for, and come to expect every year!!

The countdown has begun!!!

The fans have been digging in deep in celebration of Dad's birthday on the 13th. The countdown has begun and I will be bringing you daily updates from various locations here in Cabo San Lucas.

The fans have been lined up for two days for the dinner tickets! Despite the implemented lottery system, the tradition of fan dedication and "digging in" appears to be going strong. The fall season has not let up and the sweltering heat was clearly getting to the annuals and wearing them down. With that, the staff of the Cabo Wabo decided to let them in early to re-hydrate and nourish their bodies while a live band in the patio kept them entertained!
