JERRY CANTRELL, VINNIE PAUL Jam With SAMMY HAGAR At His Annual Birthday Bash
"Legendary musicians — including Jerry Cantrell (ALICE IN CHAINS), Vinnie Paul Abbott (PANTERA, HELLYEAH) and THE CIRCLE's Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson — as well as boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya joined forces with Sammy Hagar at his mecca in Mexico, the Cabo Wabo Cantina, to rock night three of his annual birthday bash.
Fans were treated to a setlist which included hits from Sammy's solo years, LED ZEPPELIN, ALICE IN CHAINS, VAN HALEN and even a searing rendition of THE BEATLES' "Helter Skelter" featuring Hagar, Cantrell, Bonham, Anthony and Johnson.
In addition, in the week leading up to the Bash, as the line of Redheads grew to circle the block outside the club — with fans braving 90-plus-degree heat in the hopes of landing a front-row position, many became the first to sample Santo before it hits the market.
Hagar's birthday bash concludes on his 69th birthday, Thursday, October 13, with an expected lineup so big, they're keeping it a surprise for fans."

Billy Gibbons Rock & Roll Road Trip preview
This sketch is what Billy Gibbons drew and sent to me as I drove back after the interview for the upcoming season of the Rock & Roll Road Trip.
Awesome interview – it's going to be a great show. Together we played "Waitin' for the Bus/Jesus Just left Chicago" in his tuning/roadie tech bit. It was fantastic.
Season two coming soon on AXS TV!

Sammy helps kick off “Hunger Action Month”!
Sammy and Kari joined Chantel Schuering from FIND Food Bank/Feeding America at the Fantasy Springs Resort in Indio, CA last month. To kick off the campaign for this important cause, Sammy donated a generous amount to the organization and made his pledge known through their "paper plate advocacy"!
This is what the FIND Food Bank had to say about working with Sammy:
"This was our first interaction with Sammy and the Hagar Family Foundation. We were thrilled that his representatives reached out to FIND food Bank. Sammy is a wonderful advocate in the fight to end hunger– having experienced food insecurity as a child. In the Coachella Valley, $1 provides 7 meals, this means that because of Sammy's generous donation, many children in our community will not have to go to bed hungry. Not only are we grateful for his donation, but also for his support during Hunger Action Month, which will bring further awareness to the issue of food insecurity."
“FIND Food Bank is the regional food bank and Feeding America member serving the Coachella Valley, eastern Riverside County and southern San Bernardino County. During the month of September, we will be promoting Hunger Action MonthTM 2016. Hunger Action MonthTM is a national call to action in the fight against hunger across the US, where more than 45 million people struggle with food insecurity on a regular basis. Locally, our community-based network distributes 10+ million pounds of food assistance annually to an average 85,000 people each month — that’s 1 in 5 valley residents. Clearly, this is a community problem that requires a community solution. The goal is to generate awareness and offer examples of ways to get involved in the fight against hunger (ie., share our posts on your social media, donate, volunteer, etc.). Thank you for your support.”
