Coffee for All

With my buddy Sean Boyd Master Coffee Roaster/Owner of Red Whale Coffee getting ready to roast up the Hagar Family Foundation Blend.

We have partnered up for the second year in a row to provide (at no cost) whole bean roasted coffee for St. Vincent De Paul Society of Marin County’s daily meal and service needs. St. Vincent De Paul in San Rafael serves over 380,000 meals per year on a fixed annual budget and now their coffee is one less thing for them to worry about.

I must say everyone deserves a good cuppa joe to start their day.

“Thank the Lord for the Nighttime” at Power of Love gala

This event was phenomenal! What an honor to sing a very special Neil Diamond song in front of the man himself for such a great cause as Keep Memory Alive's "Power of Love" gala event.

What a night, what a cause, what a town! #VivaLasVegas

PS Greg Phillinganes and his musicians rocked the house!

Cabo Wabo Cantina Celebrates 30 Years!

In 1990, Sammy Hagar took an idea to marry rock-n-roll and tequila in the sleepy fishing village of Cabo San Lucas. Since then, some of the world’s biggest bands and musicians have graced the same stage that hosts Sammy’s Birthday Bash annually.

Today, it’s arguably the most recognized rock-n-roll bar on the planet. Celebrate the Cantina’s 30th Anniversary over two days April 21st and 22nd. Both nights will feature blistering headline sets by Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers with special guests.

Eddie Money Tribute Concert on AXS TV

AXS TV will be honoring the incredible life and enduring legacy of beloved rock icon Eddie Money, exclusively broadcasting the Eddie Money Tribute Concert on Sunday, March 22 at 9p ET/6p PT. The concert was the first public recognition honoring Eddie since his passing on September 13, 2019, with proceeds of the event benefiting MusiCares and the USC Eddie Money Cancer Research Fund.

The evening features unforgettable appearances and performances by Eddie’s family and fellow music legends. The concert included powerhouse performances of Eddie’s classic hits such as “Shakin’” by Sammy Hagar, “Save A Little Room” by John Waite, “Think I’m In Love” by Kevin Cronin and Dave Amato, and an acoustic performance of “Baby Hold On” by James Hetfield.

Tune in for a heartfelt celebration of the man whose trademark vocals fueled chart-topping favorites and provided the soundtrack for a generation of music lovers.

Eddie Money Celebration Recap

I had a long wonderfully soulful day yesterday. The Eddie Money celebration was like a class reunion from the Bay Area, with a couple imports from out of town. Lori Money asked me to sing “Shakin'” which is such a fun great song to sing. She also asked if I would make a Rock ‘n’ Roll Road Trip episode out of the celebration, which we did! I can’t wait to put all those magical moments together, but I don’t see how I will get it all into one episode… it will probably take 2!

At any rate, James Hetfeld's surprise solo acoustic performance of "Baby Hold On” for me had the deepest song interpretation of the night. A very touching and original rendition of that classic song. All of the performances were great, not just because of the artists, but because of the great songs Eddie Money gave us. It was so apparent that in the two hour show every song was a memorable hit! That’s a shitload of good music. One of the most impressive things I woke up with this morning was that it was a family event. It was put on by the family, who all took part in the performances and watched over every second of footage that was shown, hand-picked the songs for the artists etc. That gave the evening a personal touch you don’t always get at an event like this. Everyone was there for the right reasons and there were no egos. Backstage was like a big family reunion. I’m sure Eddie would have approved. And probably did. – Sammy
