Hey Redheads-

We are excited to let you know about some new updates we’ve made to RedRocker.com that will hopefully help with the horrible SPAM problem we’ve been having here lately.

As you have probably noticed we’ve been under attack, but we’re not taking it anymore! Please check out the following steps we have taken to help alleviate this problem moving forward.

– New users who haven’t commented, will be required to have a post approved, before being able to comment freely, without approval, and without captcha.

– Anyone who has posted a non-spam comment or blog post, will be able to post new comments with out captcha. (Yay!)

– Those who haven’t posted a comment will need to post a comment, and have it approved, before they can post without captcha and without approval.

These changes are to help cut down on the large amount of SPAM and to avoid punishing everyone with the captcha, when we really only have it to help deal with the SPAM.

Thanks for your patience and we hope you like the changes! Please let us know what you think!

PS – This will help with all new accounts and comments moving forward. We are continually working to scope out and find all of the spammers who made it in before we put this in place. We appreciate your patience while we work to remove and delete all bad accounts and comments.

I lost one of my old bandmates, Chuck Ruff today. Chuck was my drummer on Danger Zone and Street Machine and many many live tours together. I have only memories of great times and great music with Chuck.

My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

Tuesday night at the Cantina was another Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash jam for the history books! For those of you who missed the live stream, here’s the recap – we started out in high gear with a Los Tres Gusanos reunion and then moved into a Wabos set joined by Vinnie Paul, who killed some Van Hagar, followed by Brad Wilk, of Rage Against The Machine, who helped out on the Beastie Boys “Fight for the Right” with Guy Fieri on vocals. We ended the night on a high note with “The Assassin” Kenny Aronoff and a Zeppelin double shot!!! Thanks to all my friends and Redheads who joined me to make this such an awesome night!

I’ve heard great response from our quick & dirty live streaming of these birthday bash shows. This is the first time we have offered every show like this. What do you think, should we do it again next year? The photo above is what it looked like – not exactly high-def, but at least we’ve got it going out from Cabo!

I gotta run – we’ve got a big show tonight! Doing things a little different this year…we hope to live stream it again to share it with all you. We’ll keep you posted….

Last night’s first show of this year’s Birthday Bash was off the hook! Guests included Michael Anthony, Kenny Chesney, Kenny Aronoff, Joe Satriani and Chad Kroeger and some smoking versions of “Whole Lotta Love”, “I’ll Fall In Love Again”, “Born on the Bayou” were unleashed. Those who were checking Sammy’s Facebook and Twitter pages were treated to a special unannounced live Webcast of the entire show and there are plans afoot to do the same for tomorrow night’s show.

OK Redheads, was that awesome or what? I am so excited to have shared all the new foot music with you worldwide and live!!! Last nights web cast was such a new experience for me and the whole band……we have never done something like this before and I had no idea how it would turn out, but the best way to share this music that I am so proud of is the way it was written….live and in the round……And now, like we can take a break…..we are going to Cabo and then a foot road test in November.

OK, Let’s talk about my favorite time of year and my favorite place in the world….Cabo Birthday Bash……Big 64!!!! I have a few tricks up my sleeve this year, I am going to be able to do something I have never been able to do in Cabo this year for my Birthday. We will announce the surprise in Cabo, but take note….the 13th will be bigger and badder than ever…..All I can say is we will be playing a bit earlier on the 13th, so get your buzz on early and check out the details at the cantina……Will Call will start at 11am and you will want to get your wristbands early, because it’s going to be a special October 13th…….All the other shows will be the same old system with will call opening at 2pm- 10pm, doors at 7pm and we will be on stage at 9pm……we are also working on streaming some of the shows on my website for those of you that can’t make it……See Ya In Cabo Baby!!!!
