Sammy Hagar Rocks the Final Night of Cabo Wabo Cantina’s Third Anniversary Celebration with Free Performance
Sammy Hagar celebrated the third anniversary of his Cabo Wabo Cantina inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino with a free performance last night.
Hundreds of fans lined up in the early hours of the morning to get tickets to the standing room only show at the Strip-side cantina.
Hagar joined the house band from the flagship restaurant in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo UNO, right before 10 p.m. After welcoming concertgoers to the anniversary celebration, Hagar launched into his hit, "I Can't Drive 55" as fans erupted in excitement.
Hagar attributed the success of his restaurant to the passion of his fans. "For Cabo Wabo to survive in Las Vegas on the Strip is because of y'all," Hagar said. "The Redheads rock this place."
With his performance projected on Miracle Mile’s jumbo marquee for foot traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard, the Red Rocker kept the crowd pumped up for over an hour with songs including, "Mas Tequila," an acoustic rendition of "Eagles Fly" and the Van Halen single, “Why Can't This Be Love."
Hagar concluded his performance by telling the crowd, "We're giving you the keys. This place is yours now."
Prior to the anniversary party, Hagar was seen at the cantina sipping on his famous Sammy's Beach Bar Rum, spending time with his wife Kari Hagar and mingling with fans.

Vegas Cabo Wabo Cantina Ready for Its 3rd Anniversary
Here’s a reminder about the Vegas Cabo Wabo Cantina’s 3rd Anniversary festivities this week. Cabo Uno will be playing the 7th and 8th and on the 9th Sammy will jump up on stage with the band for a few songs. If you are interested in getting in on Saturday wrist bands will be handed out on a first come first serve basis that morning at 8 am. The Cantina will be open for breakfast for any Redheads that want to stick around and socialize.

Bringing the Party to Oklahoma and St. Louis!
Wow didn’t know what to expect as the Wabos hadn’t been to Oklahoma in a while, but both shows sold out quick an the Redheads came to party! We had a blast. Lots of familiar faces from everywhere I love that SH–. Seems like the Redheads get really horny for the party after a Chickenfoot tour! Here we come 4 decades of rock comin’ soon weeeeeee!
Saturday night I got to do something pretty cool. I flew to St. Louis and surprised some of the city’s legendary radio personalities and fans at the 2nd annual Classic Rock Radio Reunion. KSHE was one of the very first stations in the country to break my music and I’ve had a long history with many of the city’s great rock stations so it was one of those rare and cool nights where I got to play my music and celebrate with 4 decades worth of DJ’s. Long may we all rock!
