Red Head for Redheads!

Red Head for Redheads! That’s right, I named the new Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum Red Head after the greatest fans in the world. This new version of the best rum ever made has the flavor of Macadamia nuts soaked in the white rum and is colored RED!

I’ve flown the first bottling in just for my Redheads attending the Vegas Tiki Party  tomorrow! The special “Mai Tai Red Head” drinks are gonna be outasight! To everyone who can’t be here, don’t worry- be patient and it will be in your local state in the near future.

Some Thoughts On Ticketing and Scalpers

We'd like to acknowledge some of the frustration we've all (both fans and artists) been experiencing related to ticketing and scalping. We're always sorry to hear about fans who fail to get the tickets they were hoping for and no fan or artist likes to see tickets show up on a secondary ticketing site like Stub Hub at crazy prices.

Sammy is always looking for ways to keep ticket prices down and get them into the hands of true Redheads. Please know that Sammy, his management and booking agent, and us on the digital side are always discussing ideas for making ticketing work in the best way possible.

Fans should know that some secondary ticketing sites commonly post that they have tickets available when they don't and then bait and switch as they try to get them. Deciding to handle Birthday Bash ticketing directly ourselves is driven by wanting to avoid these sorts of problems. We know it's not perfect but we're always doing everything we can to make it work in a fair way for all you Redheads.

Back To My Hometown

Nothing is as gratifying as being honored in your home town. For me it's right up there with the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Having a street named after ya (Hagar Way)– come on!!! Fontana has changed so much since 1970 when I left. If you would have blindfolded me, brought me there and showed me around I would not have known where I was. For real. 14k population then and 200k today–  damn!  When I was just a 6-year-old kid I would watch the parade on Sierra Ave in front of Crawford Drug Store where my sister Bobbi worked and famous LA newscaster George Putnam was the Grand Marshal on a Palamino horse! I certainly never thought that would be me someday but hey, look what can happen! All in all it made my family members very proud, and I must say me too.

St. Louis Show Announcement!

Attention St. Louis Redheads! We're excited to announce Sammy's "Four Decades of Rock" show is coming back to town! Block out May 30 for pre-sale tickets (public onsale is June 1). This special return to St. Louis includes a very special gift of free lawn tickets for locals, with a request to donate what you can to local charities. Regular reserved seat ticket purchases also come with a digital copy of Sammy's new solo album when it becomes available later this year (stay tuned for additional info on that in the coming weeks).

Sammy has this to say: “St. Louis has always been my musical home away from home. Years ago a stadium full of fans helped me paint the town red and we’ve been doin’ it around the world since. So in honor of my original ‘gateway’ Redheads, every fan can afford a ticket and we’re gonna give back to the community, too.”
